GET UP AND MOVE!
We find ourselves sitting in front of a computer far too often in the 21st century. Technology is a way of life and many of our jobs depend on it. Many of us are working from home now with workplace place restrictions. This has lead to even more time on devices like iPads, laptops, mobile phones, etc.
That ache you feel in your neck or upper back/shoulder is a message from your brain to get up and move around...
I recommend that for every hour you spend working on a device, get up and go for a 5-10 minute walk around the office/house. Convince yourself to get another cup of water. Stretch out and decompress your spine. Analyze your work space. Is the top third of your computer screen at eye level? If not, there are some great ways to change that. Something as simple as putting your monitor on an old textbook can make a huge difference.
Visit your chiropractor! Not only will an adjustment take some of the pressure off your spine, he/she can help analyze your ergonomics and make simple suggestions that can help with posture.
Get up, move around, stretch, take a walk after lunch, improve your workspace. You will see a difference!
